11 Days "Off the Beaten Path" Safari

Day 1: Nairobi

Arrive in Nairobi, Kenya’s bustling capital city. Explore Nairobi National Park, a unique wildlife reserve bordering the city. Subject to availability, visit attractions such as the Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre, and David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to see orphaned elephants being cared for.

Day 2 & 3: Lake Nakuru National Park

Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its flamingos and rhinos. Enjoy game drives to spot lions, leopards, and buffalo. Take a leisurely boat ride on Lake Nakuru to admire the birdlife.

Day 4 & 5: Lake Bogoria

Journey to Lake Bogoria, a lesser-known gem famous for its hot springs and flamingo population. Explore the shores of the lake and observe the unique bird species. Take a dip in the natural hot springs for a relaxing experience.

Day 6: Aberdare National Park

Head towards Aberdare National Park, a mountainous region rich in biodiversity. Enjoy a scenic drive through the park, keeping an eye out for elephants, leopards, and rare antelopes. Stay overnight in a lodge nestled in the heart of the Aberdare forest.

Day 7 & 8: Samburu National Park 

Travel to Samburu National Reserve, a rugged and remote wilderness area. Embark on game drives to spot the “Samburu Special Five” – Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk. Visit a Samburu village to learn about the local culture and traditions.

Day 9 & 10: Ol Pejeta Conservancy 

Continue your journey to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to the last two northern white rhinos. Take part in conservation activities such as rhino tracking or visiting the chimpanzee sanctuary.  Enjoy game drives to see a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, and cheetahs.

Day 11: Departure

Bid farewell to Kenya as you depart from Nairobi and reflect on your incredible safari experiences and memories as you head home.
